Top Dog
This entire football season has been pretty boring to me. Not too many significant story lines of interest and I had not been able to watch any games but Sunday night and Monday night games because of work. The only exception to the monotony of the season so far was that quarterback from Newport News, Virginia. The one time the Eagles were scheduled to play the Niners on Sunday night, Kevin Kolb started... I had been waiting to catch a Michael Vick game all year and boy was I lucky I tuned in last night. Last night's game was a performance that was historic. From the first play (88-yds to DeSean Jackson) to the end of the game Mike Vick put on a show. He completed his first ten passes and finished the game with 413 total yards and 6 tds. He destroyed the Redskins defense with passing efficiency and effective running, juking defenders left and right. For the season he has 15 total touchdowns (11 passing, 4 rushing) and no interceptions. I don't approve of his actions in those dog fights and it's a shame he lost two years of his career because of that, but to see how far he has come from those troubles is amazing. Michael Vick has returned to the league a humbled man, an improved quarterback, the old human-highlight reel we were used to watching on Sundays. MV7, MVP, no debate.
